Richard Thompson "Snow" Harley, Sr., passed from this life on Sunday, July 3, 2016 in Henryetta, Oklahoma at the age of 64. Richard was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma on November 2, 1951 to Ceaetta Harjo and Pauline Harley.

Richard grew up in the Henryetta area and following his schooling joined the U.S. Army where he faithfully served for 2 years from 1972 to 1974, including a tour of duty in Germany. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Richard returned home and married the love of his life, Cindy Joann McNac in August of 1976 in Hanna, Oklahoma. Richard received training as a heavy equipment operator and completed an auto mechanics course. Richard was also an accomplished welder. He was a longtime member of the Yardeka Baptist Church. He loved doing beadwork, and enjoyed games of stickball. He also loved riding his motorcycle, shooting a game of pool, playing softball, and archery. But most of all, Richard was a loving son, father, grandfather, and uncle and he will be missed by the many people who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, his father, and an infant baby sister.

Richard is survived by a son, Richard Harley, Jr. and wife Audra of Okmulgee; by four grandchildren, Chase, Rachel, Catherine and Madalynn Harley, all of Okmulgee; 2 brothers, Robert Soloman of Okmulgee and Speedy Harley of Okmulgee; four nieces and four nephews; and an ex-wife, Cindy Harley of Okmulgee; as well as other extended family and many good friends.

A Wake Service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 7:00pm at Weogufkee Indian Baptist Church in McIntosh County. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00am at Weogufkee Indian Baptist Church with Rev. Mitchell Taylor officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Solomon Family Cemetery.
