Marcus Bennett Rites Scheduled
Marcus Smith Bennett, 67, a former Stanford Research Institute (SRI) engineer, died Saturday in a Vallejo hospital after a brief illness.
Bennett is a former Felton resident, living at 428 Highway 9 North until he entered the hospital five weeks ago.
He worked for SRI about 10 years prior to his retirement, and lived in Menlo Park. Bennett was a native of Idaho.
He was the husband of the late Nell S. Bennett; father of Barbara (Mrs. James) McCullar of Upper Lake, Calif.; brother of Rhyll Bennett of Oregon, Lloyd Bennett of Utah, Mrs. Lucille McDonald and Katherine Bennett, both of Salt Lake City, and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Ferguson Mortuary Chapel, 212 Laurel Street, on Tuesday at 2 p.m., under the auspices of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Park.
