Manuel V. "Pelon" Abril, 74, of Phoenix passed away on June 27, 2016. He was a retired U.S. Post Office Mail Handler and U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents Manuel R. and Christina (Verduzco) Abril; son Jimmy Abril; siblings Joe Freddy, Jimmy, and Rosalie Abril.
Mr. Abril leaves his wife Margaret Garcia Abril; children Rita Wildman, Manuel G. Abril, and Petra Abril; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and siblings Ruben Abril, Rudy Abril, Oscar Abril, George Abril, Dorothy Diaz, Diana and Dorina Valencia, and Theresa Finely.
Services will be on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Our Lady of the Americas Shrine, 24 East Cody Drive Phoenix, with visitation at 8 a.m., Rosary at 9 a.m., and Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix.
