RIPLEY – Edith R. Graves Welch, 94, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at the Golden Living Center. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ripley Church of Christ.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley with Minister Glen Fann officiating. Burial will be in the Tippah Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include three daughters, Jamie Rice of Hendersonville, Tenn., Nidle Wiseman (Bobby) of Corinth and Pat Harrington (Perry) of Ripley; two sons, Bill Welch (Beverly) of Belden and Jimmy Welch (Joyce) of Lakeland, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren, Bruce Welch, Mark Welch, Linda Langford, Glinda Sossaman, Scott Wiseman, Mike Wiseman, Donna Brigance, Debbie Rice, Gary Harrington, Pam Davis and Cindy Harrington; 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira "Jake" Welch; her parents, Robert and Azalee Stroupe Graves; one son-in-law, Ulysses Rice; two sisters, Ester Parker and Donnie Morgan; and one brother, Harley Graves.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Welch, Mark Welch, Scott Wiseman, Mike Wiseman, Gary Harrington, Brad Langford and Brad Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be James Nunnally, Wayne Booker and Steadman Estes.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and continue on Tuesday from 7 a.m. until service time.
