Charles R. Bearden, 73, of Benton passed away on March 21, 1998 at the Saline Memorial Hospital.
He was born on March 8, 1925 in Saline Co.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Joe L. Bearden.
He was a retired area supervisor of the Reynolds Metals Co., an avid fox hunter, and his love for the outdoors and woodworking together with his many acts of human kindness will long be remembered by a host of family and friends. Mr. Bearden was a member of the Saline Missionary Baptist Church in Tull. He was married on October 30, 1943.
Charles is survived by his wife, Mary A. Bearden of Benton; his sons: Charles W. Bearden of Alexander, Tim Bearden of Benton, Dan R. Bearden (Denise) of Chino, CA; his daughters, Carolyn J. Bearden-Wigley (J.D.) of Alexander and Charline Bearden of Hemiet, CA; his mother, Bessie J. Keene of Benton; his brothers: James A. Bearden of Malvern, Riley Dale of Bumgardner, and Maxie Bumgardner of Benton; and six grandchildren.
