Lois Zinn was a homemaker and member of St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral Catholic Church in Reno. She was married to William Zinn; they had three daughters and four sons. There were 25 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She and her husband lived in Reno, Nevada, from 1950 to 1986, when they moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
