Funeral services for Della Melinda Jane Cunningham, 83, of McClurg, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bethel General Baptist Church at McClurg, with Rev's. Floyd Roberts and Louise Jennings officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery under direction of Clinkingbeards of Ava.
A lifelong resident of McClurg, Mrs. Cunningham died at 9:40 p.m. April 30 at Mercy Villa in Springfield following a short illness.
She was a member of the Bethel General Baptist Church.
Born on January 4, 1899 at McClurg, Della was the daughter of Rev. Thomas J. Hicks and Sarah M. Johnson. She married James Arthur Cunningham on September 29, 1924 at Ava. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1966.
Surviving are one son, Charles Caldwell*, Yakima, Washington: two daughters, Mrs. Ailene Adams, McClurg, Missouri and Mrs. Betty Deboy, Galena, Missouri; and one step-daughter, Mrs. Lavera Nelson, Maryville, Missouri.
One son is deceased.
