Mr. Vascoe is survived by his wife, Betty Smith Vascoe; stepson, Edwin Gill of Oklahoma; daughters Connie Vascoe and Patricia Campbell, both of Houston; stepdaughter, Terry Wicks; sisters, Texie Ann Cantley and Naomi Ruth Williams of Louisiana; one grandson and six step grandchildren.
