Earl Munrow Kirkpatrick, of Midland, died Monday, Nov. 6, in Big Spring.

He was born Dec. 2, 1921, one of fifteen children, to Earl Kirkpatrick and Lilly America Elliot Kirkpatrick in Seymour. He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. In the mid 1940s he moved to Midland and worked in the pipe and construction business until his retirement in 1997.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and seven sisters, and his wife Nellie Kirkpatrick in 2005.

He is survived by his son, Cecil Kirkpatrick of Odessa; stepchildren, Nellene Talley of Palo Pinto; and Leo Proctor of Midland; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Zeola Norwood, Christine Brekenfield, Bula Henderson, and Earlene Crisp; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home, Wednesday, Nov. 8, between the hours of 5-7 p.m.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bob Porterfield officiating and Brother Eddy Elliott assisting. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. To place online condolences visit www.mem.com.
