Adaline Louise Collins, born 27 December 1842, died 18 July 1909, was
the daughter of John Palmer Collins and his second wife, Mary A. Stringfield.
About 1870 she married William Conn in Lawrence County, Mississippi. To this
union were born two daughters:
Mary Clotele Conn born 23 October 1872, died 9 January 1935, married Joseph B. “Joe” Davis
Lillian Abi Conn born 18 August 1877, died 14 March 1901, married John L. Hall
In l878. Mr. Conn was killed by a falling tree.
The same year, 1878, Navy Douglas, the wife of Rev. Elisha Douglas died.
On 3 February 1879, Rev. Douglas, a Baptist Minister married Adaline Louise
Collins Conn. To this union there were born:
John Alexander Douglas, born 15 January 1880, died 1960, married Maud Case
Martha Eveline Douglas, born 28 October 1883, died 9 February 1959, married
Dallas Mahaffey Barlow
