Dies At Over 100 Years David Leroy Morrow, retired timberman of Summit, who lived to the tremendous age of 100 years, 6 months and 27 days before passing away Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 11,1952, was laid to rest Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Morrow, who was born April 14, 1852, in Alabama, and had lived for the past four years with his daughter, Nancy Belle Ray and family at Summit, MS, was one of the oldest, if not the oldest person living in Southwest Mississippi before his death yesterday afternoon at the daughter's home. Funeral rites were said from the Ebenezer Church near Eupora, Miss., with, Rev. Mr. Newman of Jackson conducting and Rev. L.J.Fowler of McComb assisting. Survivors include a son, W. L. Morrow, Jackson; a daughter, Mrs. J. C. Ray(Nancy Belle),Summit; fourteen grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery at Eupora with Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora in charge. Pallbearers were: Carl, Jim, Oscar, George and Dewey Ray, and T. N. Eubanks. -Summit Sun.
