April 18, 1951 - May 31, 2016

Daniel Lee Abrahamson, 65, originally from Mount Vernon, WA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at his home in Coeur d'Alene, ID.

He was born April 18, 1951 to Albert and Ann Abrahamson and raised in Mount Vernon, WA.

Dan graduated from Mount Vernon High School and immediately joined the Army in 1968, where he served 3 years in the Vietnam War.

He would later re-enlist as a member of the Army National Guard Reserves where he served until his honorable discharge in 1984. While still in the reserves, Daniel attended beauty school. He opened, "Dan's Barber and Styling" in 1986 and just a year and a half later grew the business into, "Daniel's Hair Design" in Everett, WA.

He would continue to pursue his passion for hair as a barber and stylist who owned businesses in 3 separate states, for 30 years, right until the end of his life.

In 1989, while grocery shopping in Everett, WA, Daniel met Debbie. They would continue to be close friends for the rest of his life. Dan and Deb moved to Florida and created, "Tarpon Hair Depot". Later, they would move business to Coeur d'Alene Idaho.

Daniel loved the ocean, eating Italian food and seafood, especially at Arnie's. He enjoyed fishing, playing and listening to music, watching a game or old classic TV shows, he loved animals, as well as antiquing and buying and selling antiques and vintage collectibles.

He was a Christian, whole-heartedly and his faith in God was only increased over the years. Daniel's last moments were spent in the word, reading his bible as he so often did.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father Albert in 2001 and his mother Anna in 2012.

Funeral will be held Friday, July 1, 2016, at 3pm at the Medical Lake Veteran's Cemetary in Medical Lake, WA.
