Flora Belle Klauser, 84, of Shelbyville, died at 11:05 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, in Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with Curt Crosby officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Christian Children’s Fund.

Mrs. Klauser was born on June 21, 1924, in Beecher City, Illinois, the daughter of Lemuel Francis and Florence G. Hogge Wood.

She graduated from Lincoln Business College and began working in Chicago for the F.B.I. She married Robert Giles Klauser on July 4, 1945. She was the accounting manager for Klauser Marine in Shelbyville. Flora Belle was a member of Jehovah’s Witness of Tower Hill, Shelby County Home Extension and was the 4-H leader of Shelby Belles for many years.

Surviving are her husband, Robert; daughters: Kathy Waseen and husband, Bob, of Bethany; and Chris Cole of Shelbyville; daughter-in-law, Jane Klauser of Shelbyville; sister, Fae McCullum of Filson; 10 grandchildren: Bryan and Shannon Phillips; Mike Waseen; Aaron, Stephen, Rachel, Harrison, and Cody Cole; Jodie Klauser; and Michelle Tucker; 14 great-grandchildren: Sara, Ian, Laura, Jacob, and Bo Phillips; Madison Tenn, Lillian and Gage Cole; Ivee and Cainun Miller; Chris Bursiel; and Shauna, Seth, and Stuart Klauser; one great-great-grandson, Damion Bursiel; and several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Jeanie Wood Shuff.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Daniel Klauser; brothers: Don and Dale Wood; and three infant siblings.
