Services for W. J. Bates, who died at University Hospital at Oklahoma City, were in Chadwick Chapel and burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bates was one of the old time residents of the city and was known and loved by many people who joined his family in mourning the passing.
He had been ill at the hospital for some time.
