WILLARD — Ronald A. Stevens, 65, of Willard, Ohio died Saturday at the Willows of Willard Care Center.
He was born on April 22, 1951 in Willard to the late Clarence and Germaine (Steinmetz) Stevens and had been a Willard resident the majority of his life. Ron was a 1969 graduate of Willard High School and had been employed with MTD Products, retiring in 2014.
He attended the First United Methodist Church in Willard where he was involved in helping with the Kids R.O.C. program. Ron enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Susan (Rufener) Stevens whom he married on March 1, 1975; four children, Lori (Eddie) Patrick of Ontario, Greg (Tonya) Stevens of Naples, FL, Brian (Sunshine) Stevens of Marion, and Todd (Melinda) Stevens of Willard; 15 grandchildren; 2 great granddaughters; two brothers, Robert (Cindy) Stevens of Plymouth, and Carl (Dianna) Stevens of Willard; two sisters, Ruth (Jim) Fetzer of Shelby, and Carol Stevens of New Haven.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Janet Marie Stevens.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Doug Beggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard.
