Alvin Bennett Briggs passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016.

Life:
He was born on July 16, 1919 in Bountiful, Utah to Levi Evans Briggs and Selina May Bennett Briggs.
He worked at the Naval Base before enlisting in the army during WWII.
He married Audrey Spencer in the Salt Lake Temple on July 3, 1940 and she passed away on July 20, 2002.
In 1956 he moved to Washington to pursue his dream of owning a farm.
In 1964 he sold the farm because of health reasons and returned to Bountiful where he spent the rest of his life.
He and Audrey were members of the Sam's Club travel organization where they traveled many places in their motor-home. He worked at Hill Air Force Base and retired in 1981.
He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. Everyone who met him loved him and his humorous personality and he was their friend forever. He enjoyed watching the Jazz, going to the Senior Center, his monthly trip to Wendover with the seniors and the family get togethers with his grand-children and great-grand-children.

Family:
He is survived by his children Stan Briggs (Phoenix), Connie Ericksen (Centerville), Corey Briggs (Beverly) Lake Charles, Louisiana, sister Barbara Markel (Seattle),
9 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

There will be a viewing on Friday night, June 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful. In lieu of a funeral a private family viewing will be held Sat. morning, June 25 from 11-12.
Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
