Evan Rollo Keislar, 89 years old, the son of Methodist missionaries, was born in Mussouri, India. He returned to the United States for higher education and received his B.A. from College of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. in 1933. He subsequently went on to earn a M.A. in Theology in 1936 from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, Calif. and eventually a PhD. in 1944 from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Keislar taught Educational Psychology first at Princeton University, then at Tufts University and finally at UCLA from which he retired in 1983 after 35 years of service. As a dedicated educator, he always strove to ensure the success of children in the classroom. He approached everything in life with an intellectually enthusiastic attitude.

Dr. Keislar was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Mott and Dr. Edna Keislar and by his three brothers: Dr. Henry Keislar, Horace Keislar, who died in infancy, and Rev. Marvin Keislar. A loving husband and father, Evan is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janet; and his three children, daughter Helen, son Robert, and daughter Kathryn. He also leaves behind six grandsons, John, Peter, Kyle, Garrett, Samuel and Adam.
