Wayne Taylor Dove, Sr. age 81, entered into rest June 24, 2016 in Tallahassee. He was born in Ware Shoals, SC and was a longtime resident of Tallahassee before moving to Cairo, GA.

Wayne served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer, after 30+ years of service.

He was a graduate of Leon High School and was the former owner and operator of Mike's Pool Room in Cairo and Rubye's Cocktail Lounge in Tallahassee.

Wayne was a member of the Moose Lodge Chapter 1103; was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying; and as a hobby he enjoyed farming.

He was of the Protestant faith.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Hattie and John Dove; brothers, Bob and Dick Dove; sisters, Mary John Moody and Caroline Ownby.

He is survived by his wife of twenty years, children, siblings, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Diamond, Lacey Girl and Precious.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2016 at Tallahassee National Cemetery with full military honors.
