Severina "Sevey" Wimmer, 90, of Canon City, CO passed away September 10, 2011 in Canon City. Sevey was born in Ellis Kansas on July 25, 1921 to John and Elizabeth (Deering) Pfeiffer. She was one of eleven children.
She married Alfred "Fritz" Wimmer on September 12, 1939 in Marienthal, Kansas. To this union four children born, Robert, Bonnie, Patricia, and Judy.
Sevey worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Divide, CO for 22 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family gatherings, playing cards, and quilting.
Severina is survived by daughters, Bonnie (Dale) Orcutt, Patricia (Robert) Leischuck, and Judy Wimmer; grandchildren, Randy, Ron (Susan), and Richard (Rindy) Orcutt, Kendra Leischuck, and Tonya Wimmer; great grandchildren, Keenan, Aiden, Cody, Autumn, Micah, Brandi, Bryson, and Macie; six sisters; and two brothers. She also leaves many wonderful friends, including special friends at Progressive care Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz of 64 years; son, Robert; parents; and two bothers.
Visitation and reception was held at 10:00 a.m., prior to Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Holt Chapel of the Garden at 806 Macon Avenue in Canon City. Interment followed at 2:00 p.m., at Woodland Park Cemetery in Woodland Park, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Arrangements handled through Holt Family Funeral Home.
