Mr. Raymond D. Marsh, 100 of Seymour, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016, at 4:40 a.m. at Schneck Medical Center.

Raymond was born on April 12, 1916, in Jackson County, Indiana, the son of the late Howard and Jennie (Clark) Marsh.

He married Mary Marsh who passed away in 1940. He then married Edna Clouse on January 10, 1942, in Jackson County, Indiana, and they were married over 60 years until she passed on August 28, 2015.

Raymond was a member of Reddington Christian Church. He served in Panama with the U.S. Army in 1945. He worked as a supervisor at the U.S. Shoe Company until he retired after 47 years. He enjoyed camping and fishing when he wasn't farming. He was a trustee of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He is survived by his sons: Raymond Tom (Kathy) Marsh, Monty (Pam) Marsh, Rick Marsh and Dick Marsh; four grandchildren: Shannon (Joel) Snyder, Sabrina (Dale) McKillip, Samantha Eline, and Dustin Marsh; ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, his first and second wife, a son, Howard Max Marsh, infant grandson, Justin Jay Marsh, a grandson, Arthur "Artie" Marsh, his brothers: Charles Lester, Homer Albert, Jasper William, James Irwin, Lawrence E. and Paul Andrew Marsh; and his sisters: Laura Marsh and Elizabeth Ruddick.

Funeral service will be at Voss Chapel on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at 11:00 am with Pastor Scott Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Reddington Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.

Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Monday from 4 to 8 pm and Tuesday after 9:00 am until time of service.

Memorial checks may be written to Jackson County Humane Society or the Max Bear Hart Fund.
