Lela, age 82, was the daughter of Orloff and Doris Phillips. She graduated from Emporia High School and Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia. She married Robert Charles Zickefoose in 1956. She is survived by her children, Alyson Hisky, Greg Zickefoose, and Bret Zickefoose, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Lee Phillips. Services were held at Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee. Burial was in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
