Mrs. Paulus was born June 7, 1866 in Good Hope, Ill., the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Wolfe Deitrich. On March 28, 1885 she married James F. Paulus who is now deceased. She was a member of the German Lutheran Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Grace Jacobs, Colusa; Mrs. Vesta Hamrick, Bowen, Ill,; Mrs. Edna Cook, Quincy; Mrs. Irene Thompson, Alton; Mrs. Ellen Martin, Peoria; two sons, Frank and Clarence Paulus, Dallas City; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Edith Mathews preceded her in death.
Martin Funeral Home will hold services on Monday. Dr. M.E. Lehmann, pastor of Burlington Bethany Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Harris cemetery.
