George Albert Varney, Jr., 81, of Zephyrhills passed away 6/20/2016. He was born 12/18/1934 in Madbury, NH. George retired from the United States Airforce after 20 years of dedicated service and also worked for an Optical business in Pennsylvania. George was a professional Square Dance Caller for over 45 years. Some of his memberships included Pasco County Genealogical Society, TRIA, American Legion and AMRA. Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Lorraine; son, Rod (Roberta) Varney; daughter, Sue (David) Fessette; step son, Clifford (Nancy) Peer and 6 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Tuesday, June 28th
at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Zephyrhills with a service at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
