John Patrick Crimmins Jr., of Chenoa, was found dead in his home at 1:55 a.m. yesterday. He had been under a doctor's care.

He was born March 15, 1919, in Towanda, Pa., a son John Patrick and Florence Crimmons.

He married Bernice E. Laase. She preceded him in death in February 1965.

He married Frances E. Davis on March 23, 1968 at Pontiac. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, James Patrick, Augusta, Ga.; Don Patrick, Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Jean Louise Jackson, Lexington; two sisters, Jean Ann Kucharski and Jackie Raciti, both of Port Richey, Fla; and five grandchildren.

His parents preceded him in death.

Mr. Crimmins was a lieutenant colonel in the Army Corps of Engineers for 21 years and retired from the Army Sept 30, 1961. He served in World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War and was a wared a bronze star in World War II.

He was a member of Pontiac VFW Post 886; the Association of Retired Persons; the Society of American Military Engineers and the Retired Officers Association.

He lived in the Chenoa area for 15 years and was a former administrator of McLean County nursing home. He had worked in the Chenoa school district for the past five years.
