Martha Irene Mendoza, 37, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, in Liberal, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. She was born Sept. 1, 1969, in Mexico, to Miguel Baca and Socorro Talavera. A Garden City resident since 1997, Mrs. Mendoza was a cook at Kearny County Hospital in Lakin. She was a member of Iglesia Cristiana Prince of Peace Church of Garden City. On June 28, 1996, she married Jose Mendoza in Dodge City. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Ivan Baca and Edduardo Mendoza, both of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Mendoza, of the home; and her father, her mother, a brother, Roberto Baca, two sisters, Maribel Orona and Sonia Burciaga, and a cousin, all of Garden City. Funeral will be noon Saturday at Iglesia Cristiana Prince of Peace Church, Garden City, with the Rev. Gerardo Nunez officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.
