Louise was born in Drumheller, Alberta on April 12, 1937. She graduated from Ottawa Teacher's College and then studied at Carlton University and the University of British Columbia. She was an elementary teacher in Kamloops District for many years and was always known as an excellent and enthusiastic teacher. Her career also included teaching at First Nations schools in Fort George, Quebec, Kincolith and Lytton, BC. Louise cared deeply for her extended family. She was proud of her Norwegian roots and had a love for animals, especially her many dogs. -
