Kenneth M. Andrews, of Bradenton, Florida, peacefully passed away on June 12, 2016. He was 103 years old.

Kenneth was born to the late James and Grace Andrews in Lafayette, IN on December 19, 1912. Andrews received a BS from Central Normal College and a Masters from the University of Toledo. In 1938, he married the late Mildred Johnson and they lived throughout the Midwest, primarily in Lafayette, before retiring to Florida in 1974. After Mildred's passing, Kenneth met his longtime companion, Nita Medrick.

Kenneth's life of public service started with the Civilian Conservation Corps. He served in the U.S. Navy in the American and Asian theatres of World War II. He was a teacher in Napoleon, OH and at Jefferson High School in Lafayette. He also served on the Lafayette City Council.

Kenneth is survived by four daughters: Patricia Payne of Albuquerque, NM; Tamara Walker of Kingwood, TX; Deborah Andrews of Bradenton, FL; and Kendra Andrews of Bradenton, FL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and brother, Paul Andrews, of Lafayette, IN.
