Rufus D. Wyatt, 84, of Hallsville, MO, passed away June 21, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2016, from 5 to 8pm at Memorial Funeral Home. A service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 2pm at Memorial Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rufus was born on August 25, 1931, to Tommy and Goldie (Turner) Wyatt, in Boone County, MO. He married Gertrude in Boone County, September 23, 1952. Rufus belonged to the Carpenters Local 1925 for over 50 years and was a member of the VFW. He had passions for small farming, coon hunting, family gatherings, loved homemade ice cream, and watching his kids playing softball and baseball. He also loved watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Gertrude, and brother Porter.

He is survived by his 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a sister and two brothers.
