Clell C. Atchley Sr., 72, of Empire, died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Baptist Medical Center-Princeton in Birmingham. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at Bell Funeral Home with burial in Little Vine Cemetery. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Bell Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Atchley was a retired veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barney Sue Atchley.
He is survived by his son, Clell Atchley Jr. and his wife, Vickie, of Washington, Mich.; daughters, Sherry Lewis and Tammy Atchley, both of Empire; brother, John Atchley of Florida; granddaughters, Jocelyn, Kimberly, Jade, Hope and Jessy; great-granddaughters, Angela and Abbey Grace; and a host of other relatives and friends.
