Barbara Taylor Everitt, 98, formerly of Winnetka, IL, died June 20 in Minnetonka, MN. Born Barbara Elliott Taylor April 24, 1918 in Chicago, she married George Bain Everitt III March 25, 1944. They had four daughters, Lois Anderson, Margaret (Mrs. Manfred) Gerling, Emily Everitt, and Elizabeth Caldwell. She is survived by her daughters, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, and her sister, Virginia Milne, of Wilmette. Barbara was active in several charitable organizations, including serving on the Board of the Northwestern Settlement and as a lifetime trustee of the Hadley School for the Blind. She was also an avid tennis player and gardener. Private services were held in Minnetonka, MN, with internment at Memorial Park in Skokie, IL. Memorials in her name may be sent to the Hadley Institute for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 700 Elm St., Winnetka, IL 60093.
