CHINLE, Ariz. — Services for Alvin Yazzie, 25, will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 2 at Chinle Patters's House. Pastor Daniel Smiley will officiate. Burial will Chinle Community Cemetery.

Yazzie died Aug. 27 in Chinle. He was born June 6, 1978 in Gallup into the Coyote Pass People Clan for the Red Bottom People Clan.

Survivors include his daughters, Shaundie and Makayla Yazzie; parents, Allie Begay and Dan C. Yazzie both of Chinle; sister, Allita Begay of Chinle; and grandparents, Jim and Yanabah Tom.

Yazzie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Dorothy Begay.

Pallbearers will be Damicen Begay, Freddie Teller, Kevin Sanchez, Rod Harrison, Gerald Mike, Bobby Jones and Paul Jones.

The family will receive friends and relatives after the burial services at Chinle Mutual Help Housing #34.
