Henry Michael "Mike" Averitte Sr., age 41, of Kilgore, Texas died March 3, 1981 following injuries received in a traffic accident between Kilgore and Longview. Burial in Roselawn Park was under the direction of Hassell & Foster Funeral Home of Palestine, Texas. He was born July 10, 1939 in Palestine, to Henry L. Averitte and Will "Billie" (Crosby) Averitte. A Methodist, he was reared in Palestine and graduated from Palestine High School in 1957. He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Billy Boyd Averitte. He is survived by his wife, Randa (Morton) Averitte; daughter, Amanda Averitte; son, Henry Michael Averitte Jr.; mother, Billie Averitte; and brother, Ronald L. Averitte.
