He became a member of Smyrna AME Church in Waterloo at an early age and was a former employee with the Waterloo Chip Company. He later retired from CA Mirrick Brickwork where he served as a brickmason.
Albert departed this life on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Hospice House of Laurens County in Clinton, SC.
He is survived by two brothers John Taylor and Howard Taylor of Laurens, SC; two sisters Shirley Collier of Abbeville, SC and Angie Taylor of Greenwood, SC; three nieces Torin Taylor, Keanna Stewart and Kelita Collier and two nephews.
Services for Albert James Taylor Jr. will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 at Smyrna AME Church in Waterloo, SC at 2:00 P.M.
Reverend Sarah E. Williams, Pastor of Smyrna AME Church will be the officiating minister.
Burial will be held at the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of his brother, Howard Taylor at 207 Sunset Park, Laurens, SC.
