Anna Leister, 85, of Marietta, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at Beckett House at New Concord, Ohio. She was born March 7, 1929, in Pennsylvania, a daughter of Thurman and Ruby Varner Myers.
Anna had been employed at Past Time Lanes and was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching children's sporting events.
On July 6, 1944, she married Dale Edward Leister, who survives with three children: Gerald "Jerry" (Deborah) Leister of Cumberland, Darrel (Joyce) Leister of Fairborn, Ohio, and Arthur "Art" (Denise) Leister of Marietta; 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers and two sisters: Ray, William, Calvin, Sara and Mary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin children at birth and one sister, Juanita Myers Moore.
It is her request that no services be observed. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements
