Joseph was next united in marriage (#2) Elisabeth Transue; daughter of Martin and Christina (Ehrenhardt) Liebert. They added nine more children to the family.
Joseph passed away 30 Jun 1832 in Salisbury Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania at the age of 71 years. He was laid to rest in God's Acre Moravian graveyard in Emmaus.
