Gertrude D. Jackson
Gertrude D. Jackson, 90, of Shelbina, died Monday, Nov. 14, at Hannibal Regional Health Care Center in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes West Chapel in Shelbina. The reader will be Rosemary Bousman. Burial will be in Shelbina Cemetery. Visitation will be today, from 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home in Shelbina.
She was born Feb. 9, 1898 in Monroe County, the daughter of Edward and Mary Turner Douglas. She was married March 8, 1921 in Monroe City to Thomas W. Jackson. He preceded her in death in 1963.
Surviving are one daughter, Mildred Harrison of Hannibal; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and two sisters.
A member of the First Church of Christ Scientists of Hannibal, she was a retired Christian Scientist practitioner.
