H. Lucille Williams, age 93, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 8:04 AM on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Monmouth Nursing Home. Lucille was born on September 2, 1922 in Memphis, MO, the daughter of Pearl Raymond and Daisy Marie (Stice) Garrison. Lucille attended schools in Memphis through 8th Grade and later in her life, attained her GED. On September 1, 1940, she married James Leslie Williams in Memphis, MO and he preceded her in death on January 2, 1981. Lucille first worked at Killey Cleaners. She later worked at Smoler's in Monmouth and then at Maytag in Galesburg, retiring in 1987. Lucille was first and foremost a homemaker. She very much enjoyed reading. Lucille was a member of the Heritage United Presbyterian Church in Monmouth where she quilted with the Dorcas Circle and was a member of the Rachel Circles. Lucille is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Terry) Scalf of Monmouth, IL, her son, Edward Williams of Davenport, IA, ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandchild. Also surviving are two sisters; Ruth (Roger) DeBuhr of Donnellson, IA and Jacqqlin (Gary) Pohren of Donnnellson, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son James, five brothers, three sisters, and her granddaughter Janita.

Funeral Service
A funeral service is planned for 9:30 AM on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Heritage United Presbyterian Church in Monmouth, Illinois. Interment will be at 2:30 PM on Wednesday after the funeral service at the Memphis Cemetery in Memphis, Missouri.
