Curt Alan Abens was born on September 26, 1964, at Ft. Dodge, IA, the son of Ronald and Mildred (VanHoveln) Abens. After he graduated from high school he began farming with his Dad, which he continued up to the time of his death. In the last 20 years, Curt had expanded into the excavation business and dearly loved it.
Curt is survived by his wife Jane; his mother Milly Abens of Pocahontas, IA; brother Paul (Jenny) Abens of Gilmore City, IA; sister Bonnie Roberts of Spencer, IA; brother-in-law Rick Fey of Palmer, IA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Abens; sister Linda Fey; and niece Amanda Fey.
