Betty L. Olsen, daughter of Lester and Christina (Haack) Olsen was born August 20, 1927, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She graduated from Marshalltown High School with the class of 1945. She was united in marriage to Roger Nason on February 28, 1946 in Marshalltown. Betty worked at Younkers for many years, retiring in 1988. Roger and Betty enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona, where they enjoyed taking part in the many activities at the park where they stayed. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary Post 46.
She is survived by loving family and also friends at the Iowa Veterans Home. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Roger.
Funeral services for Betty L. Nason of Marshalltown, Iowa, were held Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Anderson Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown. Angela Doty of the Iowa Veterans Home officiated the service.
Groups in attendance were: American Legion Auxiliary and staff of the Iowa Veterans Home.
Anderson Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown was entrusted with arrangements.
Interment took place in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marshalltown.
