She passed away September 21, 2010 in Andrews, Texas. She was born September 6, 1922 in Baird, Texas to William and Allie Underwood. She married L. B. Baker December 28, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas.
She was a Baptist. She owned and operated a Beauty Shop in Lovington for 50 years. She loved her family dearly, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. She loved her dogs and her yard. She loved cooking, baking and country western music.
She is survived by her daughter Carolyn and her husband Garry Evans of Andrews, Texas, three sons George Baker and wife Mary of Portsmouth, Virginia, Larry Baker and wife Kathy of Artesia, New Mexico and Bill Baker of McDonald, New Mexico, three granddaughters, four grandsons, three great granddaughters, six great grandsons and one great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her husband in 1975.
