Hazel E Matters, 91, of Largo, Florida, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Bellaire Nursing Center in Clearwater, Florida. Funeral Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, April 10 at the Highland Park Funeral Home and Crematory, 41st and State Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas; burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Visitation 1PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs Matters was born December 22, 1921 in Benedict, Kansas. She retired from TWA after twenty-five years of service. She graduated from Wyandotte High School. Hazel was a Grey Lady at Trinity Lutheran Hospital. She worked with special needs children and was an avid Royals fan. Hazel was involved with the TWA retiree club.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Matters, two sisters and a brother.
Survivors include: son, Chris Christensen; daughter, Linda Robinett; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
