Bea passed away peacefully, July 27, with her family at her side in Alamo. She and her late husband of 69 years, Emmett, lived in Fremont for over 45 years. She was born in Nebraska, grew up in Oregon, moved with her husband and family to Oakland in 1950 and then to Fremont. They raised three children, Linda Ferris (Miles) now of Dublin; Jerry (Shirley), now of La Quinta; and Dave (Nancy), now of Oregon. She was also survived by two sisters, Cloma Heinz, of Las Vegas and Donna Tharp, of Canby OR. Bea loved being a mother, grandmother (of 5), great-grandmother (of 9). Family travel was a big part of her life. She loved gardening and did magic on her roses. She was 30 year member of .Olive Hyde art center, the craft group at Fremont United Methodist Church and a charter member of her local senior center. She was a great cook, especially her potato salad and her Chinese cabbage salad. Bea touched lives everywhere she went. She was known for her friendly smile and her sparkling personality.
