Sweetwater Rites To Be Held Today For Mrs. Campbell
Sweetwater, Jan. 28 - Funeral was to be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the First Methodist Church here for Mrs. Mary Harriett Campbell, 85, who died at 3:10 a.m. Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.R. Owens of Sweetwater.
The service was to be conducted by the Rev. Gerald McCollom, pastor, and burial was to be in Garden of Memories Cemetery with Cate-Spencer Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Campbell came to Sweetwater to live with her daughter in 1928. Born Nov. 26, 1869 in Pulaski, Tenn., she came to Texas with her parents at the age of 8. They settled in Collin County, where she was reared and was married to Harry Campbell 65 years ago in Farmersville.
In 1923, the couple moved to Bennington, Okla., where Mr. Campbell died in 1925.
Other survivors include one son, B. Campbell of Earth; two sisters, Mrs. Bell Camp of Greenville and Mrs. W.L. Thompson of Arkadelphia, Ark.; and two brothers, John F. Ball of Farmersville and G.F. Ball of Holdenville, Okla.
