She moved with her family to Cloquet in 1943 and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1951. She was united in marriage to Burton Shotley on August 1, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Claudette worked for Reliable Savings and Loan, Carlton County Federal and eventually Twin City Federal retiring as bank president. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and was the bookkeeper for Fr. Seamus Walsh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Shotley; and two brothers, Robert and Lawrence Schoen.
Claudette is survived by her husband, Burton; daughters: Deborah (John) Gassert, and Jody (Kurt) Williams; grandchildren: Cassie (Matt) Jacobs, Kyle Williams, Stephanie (Scott) Paul, Kirsten Shotley, and Michaela Shotley; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
