A funeral service for Melton Pat Ivy, age 64, of Rusk, is scheduled at 2 o’clock in the afternoon Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Jason Hoffman and Jacob Fitzgerald officiating. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Comfort Cemetery.

Mr. Ivy passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 in Jacksonville.

Melton was born January 4, 1952 in Maydelle to Charles “Bud” and Verna (Faine) Ivy.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rusk.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Travis, and Frankie Ivy; sisters, Mary Cohaghen and Katy McKinney.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Christain Ivy of Rusk; brothers, Alvin Ivy of Mansfield, Michael Ivy of Palestine, Norman Ivy of Lindale; sisters, Luana Watson of Arlington and Joy Davis of Columbia.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, June 10, 2016 and friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 1 to 2 p.m.
