Only child of N. Chris and Vera G. Bane Andersen. He graduated from East High School in Salt Lake, and the University of Utah. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army and called to active duty as a field artillery officer in August, 1941, and stationed at Fort Ord, California. He left for overseas duty in April, 1943, and participated in the conquest of Attu before going to the South Pacific. Was killed in the Marshall Islands while serving in the field artillery. Survived by his parents of Salt Lake City, and a wife and son living in Iowa. Funeral services were held February 19, 1948.
