August Radmer, son of William and Marie Radmer, was born April 12, 1897, in Akron township.

He was married to Ida Pomroy on September 20, 1922 at Ortonville, Minnesota. Ida passed away November 7, 1934.

On September 24, 1935, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Knutson, of Ortonville. A son, Lauren Richard, and a daughter, Sharon Marie, were born to this union.

Mr. Radmer was baptized and confirmed at the Episcopal church in Appleton by Rev. Theo. Foster.

August passed away at his farm home on Sunday, June 5, from a lingering heart ailment.

Funeral services for August Radmer, 58, of Correll, were held at Gethsemane Episcopal church, Appleton, on Wednesday, June 8, at 2 o'clock. There had also been rites at a chapel in Ortonville at 1 o'clock. Rev. Brushette, of Marshall, was in charge of the services.

Pallbearers were Ed Zemple, Ernest Dexter, Lloyd Guse, Elmer Monson, Murl Monson and Laurence Monson. Interment was in Mound cemetery at Ortonville.

Mrs. T.L. Gill was organist and Floyd Swenson, soloist, at the rites here. Mr. Swenson sang, "Beautiful Garden of Prayer", "Good Night and Good Morning", and "Rock of Ages".

Relatives attending from a distance were: Mrs. Freda Knutson and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Johnson, of Milroy, Mrs. Pete Verdeck of Marshall, Mrs. Bruce Snyder of Cottonwood, and Mrs. and Mrs. Adolph Hagen of Tacoma, Washington.

Surviving his death are his wife, Dorothy, and a daughter, Sharon Marie. His father, mother, sister Emma and son Lauren preceded him in death.
