Virlie C West Yarber, age 78, of Sheffield Lake, OH, formerly
of Lake City, passed away early Friday, July 7, 2000 at her home in Ohio.
She was born Mar 2, 1922 in Morgan County. She was a member of
Schultz Hollow Baptist Church in Lake City before becoming disabled
and going to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Sue and Sam
Camps. She attended Beech Fork Holiness Church with her son and
daughter-in-law, Joe and Mary Harmon. Virlie was active in visiting
nursing homes. She enjoyed making crafts and quilting. To all who
knew and loved her, she was always giving of herself and showering
her friends and loved ones with gifts and keepsakes. Virlie's life upon
this earth spanned five generations. She is preceded in death by parents;
Teddy and Emma Bunch West; former husband, John L Yarber;
sisters, Virgie Carr and Vada Poore; brothers, Vern West and Virgil
(Denny) West. Survivors; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Sue and Sam
Camps of OH; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph L and Mary Harmon of
Clinton; sisters, Venna Mowery of OH, Vivian J and Gary Mosley of
Lake City; brothers, Vester West of Lake City, Vaughn and wife, Carolyn
West of Lake City, Verdith and wife, Ruby West of Lake City;
six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren;
10 step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces
and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation was 6-8 PM Sunday,
Jul 9, 2000 at Cox-Martin Funeral Home in Lake City. Funeral service
was 8 PM Sunday, Jul 9, 2000 in the Cox-Martin Chapel with the Rev
David Walker and Herman Woods officiating. Interment was 11 AM
Monday, Jul 10, 2000 at Pine Hill Cemetery in Lake City.
Cox-Martin Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
