Edith F. (Amspacher) Shuler, 76, died Sunday, October 26, 2003 at her residence. She was the wife of Paul M. Shuler. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion.
Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Donald F. Mummert will officiate the service. A public visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Shuler was born in North Codorus Twp. on March 13, 1927, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Neilson) Amspacher.
She was a retired employee of Wickes, formerly Yorktowne Kitchens, in 1989. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, in Spry.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Wayne B. Shuler of York and Clarence C. Shuler of Concord, NC; two granddaughters, Angie Maher of Lancaster and Stacy Shuler of York; two brothers, Rev. James Amspacher of Fergus Falls, Minn. and George “Leonard” Amspacher of Way Cross, Ga.; and two sisters, Mary Shumaker and Louise Ehrhart, both of York. She was preceded in death by six siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice Services, 218 E. Market Street, York, PA 17403; or to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
