Norman Ellis Adams, 82, formerly of Beaver, Ohio, left us to do touch and go's at the greatest airport in the sky, Friday, June 10, 2016 at his home with his family in Waverly, Ohio.
He was born August 22, 1933 in Newark, Ohio, the son of the late Leslie Ellis Adams and Dorothy Gertrude (Stir) Adams. On December 22, 1956, Norman was united in marriage to Janet (Pfeifer) Adams who survives.
Also surviving are his son of Pataskala, Ohio, a daughter of Chicago, Illinois, five grandchildren, two granddaughters, and a sister of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Delmar Clyde Adams and Buddy Adams.
He was a member of the Dailyville Freewill Baptist Church, former management with the Federal Government, Korean Veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force, member of the American Legion Merritt Post # 142, Orient Lodge #321 F. & A.M., 1971 Graduate of the Ohio State University, 1981 MBA Graduate of Captial University, 1982 Masters in Logistics' Air Institute of Technology and a 1984 Doctorate Degree from the Ohio State University.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio with Pastor Pete Dunn, officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road, Waverly, Ohio with graveside military services conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142.
Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday with Masonic Services to be held at 7:00 p.m.
